Fry Club started the game well with some good runs up both wings but were unable to penetrate the Bitton defence. An excellent pass from Mickey Parsons to Ben Harper to shoot wide had Bitton on the back foot. Bitton’s only response was to put long balls forward that none of their players could bring down or keep on the pitch. The home side got the ball down and ran at Fry’s forcing two consecutive corners that were both taken short but with no effect. A long-range shot from Bitton narrowly missed putting them ahead. With Fry’s unable to clear the ball Bitton continued to apply the pressure only to be stopped by a crunching tackle from Charlie Goodwin. Fry’s then looked to get the ball up into the Bitton half with a good run from Perry May who was tackled by a Bitton Defender. Once again Bitton were pressing Fry’s with a sharp run down the left wing that was halted be a Mickey Parsons tackle. Fry’s were under pressure again and managed to see out the half with a number of crunching tackles taking the sting out of Bitton’s attack.
2nd Half
Fry’s got this half off to a good start with a good run at goal but were unable to find the net. Bitton came back strong forcing defenders Jonathan Shoreland and Charlie Goodwin to work hard. Ben Harper replied for Fry’s with a storming run down the left wing but was unable to find a team member to link up with. Bitton came back strong winning two corners that were took short but were unable to find the target. As soon as Fry’s got the ball back in the oppositions half a Bitton defender won the ball and broke forward and released a thunderous shot that was pushed over the bar by the lightning reflexes of Fry Club keeper Aaron Loughlin. With Bitton unable to capitalise from another short corner Fry’s forced the ball back into the Bitton half but were unable to keep possession. Then Bitton defender Jack Boughton ran the ball at Fry’s and hit a thunderous shot that Loughlin was unable to save to make it 1-0 for the home side. Fry’s continued to chase the game but conceded again when a Bitton shot came back off the post and was put back across goal for a simple tap in for Jason Granville to make it 2-0. Fry’s continued to soak up the attacking play from Bitton with some excellent tackles from Mickey Parsons, Charlie Goodwin and Jonathan Shorland but were unable to create anything up front.

Bitton
started well applying the pressure to the away side with some nifty footwork but
were unable to find the net. The home side continued to press with 3 consecutive
corners all taken short but with no end result. A Fry’s goal kick taken across
the face of goal was won by Bitton player Jack Rhys-Jones who took the ball into
the penalty area and slotted home giving Keeper Jovi Belcher little chance.
Fry’s ran the ball straight back at Bitton with some good skill from Daniel
Kendall but were unable to keep possession. Bitton won a free kick that was hit
straight at goal forcing a good save from Belcher. Another short corner by
Bitton creating problems for Fry’s who were unable to clear the ball and
conceding another corner. Again the corner was taken short and this time chipped
in over the keeper to make it 2-0.

Half
Bitton
got off to a good start after a defensive mix up between 2 Fry’s players saw
the ball fall to Taylor Biggs who netted for Bitton’s 3rd.
With Fry’s eager to save some pride a free kick on the half way line
was floated in by Kyle Morris but failed to find another Fry’s player. Bitton
won the ball straight back and attacked the Fry’s goal forcing a good save
from Jake Wooley. With Fry Club unable to win the ball back Bittons confidence
grew and netted 2 more quick goals with no reply from the Fry’s.
